Our programming is funded by the generosity of our constituent base, including survivors, friends and family, and bequeathments from loved ones who have passed.

YOU CHOOSE

how your gift supports our mission:

Support the CRC Mission

We are a small agency that does a lot in our community. From providing one-on-one personalized support, to coordinating volunteer care in chemo wards, to facilitating support groups over Zoom, we are working hard to make sure that no one in our area faces cancer alone. We rely on your generosity to keep our mission alive. Please consider making a general donation to our agency today.

Emily Virkler was a beloved native Ithacan who passed away from brain cancer in 2017. Her family has graciously set up a fund in her memory, to provide items such as wigs and mastectomy bras to anyone experiencing cancer. We rely on your support to maintain this fund. The  Ángel Fund was established to provide direct cash assistance to individuals with cancer in our community who have a specific and immediate financial need and where a small amount of money can make a significant difference. In memory of the late Miguel Ángel Balsa Marín, this fund was created by his family and many friends. He was a beloved young man, scholar and teacher who died from colon cancer in 2013.

Tapan Mitra was a world-renowned economic theorist and professor at Cornell University who was supported by our volunteers and staff during his battle with cancer. This fund was established in his name thanks to his family and the Community Foundation to improve accessibility to treatment and resources for our clients.

The Skip Hewitt Welcome Fund has been established to honor the memory of Skip Hewitt, a long-standing member of the Men’s breakfast, longtime volunteer, and survivor of multiple cancers. The primary purpose of the fund will be to support CRC’s support groups and other programs that engage people with CRC on an on-going basis.

Because no one should face cancer alone.

The mission of the Cancer Resource Center of the Finger Lakes is to create and sustain a community of support for people living with and affected by cancer. CRC seeks to serve all people living with or affected by cancer. Our goal is to create an inclusive, welcoming community in which the perspectives and needs of all those we serve are heard and respected.

Community support and generosity allows us to continue providing 1:1 and group support, boutique services including wigs, head coverings, and mastectomy bras, and other services.  As a local non-profit, your gifts remain in our community and are tax-deductible. We greatly appreciate your partnership to ensure that NO ONE FACES CANCER ALONE.
