I’m honored and humbled to receive this award.

I think that I have the best job in town.

I work with amazing colleagues, a board of directors with a clear vision, and dozens of dedicated volunteers. We’re a mission-driven organization, and we truly enjoy working together.

I also feel fortunate to live and work in Tompkins County. When I moved here 22 years ago, it just felt like home from the very first day. We should never take for granted what we have here.

And, if you have cancer, you really don’t take anything for granted. We know that there will be days of sadness, but we treasure those days when we have something to celebrate.

Today is a day of celebration. I couldn’t be happier, and I thank you for sharing this happiness with me.
